Alcohol Can Boost Antioxidants in Fruit


While searching for ways to keep strawberries fresh during storage, scientists from Thailand and the U.S. stumbled on the effect of alcohol in fruits. Adding alcohol found in spirits to strawberries and blackberries boosted the antioxidant nutrients found in those fruits.
