Antioxidants Help Build a Lean Muscular Body

Antioxidants provide many health benefits including a speedier recovery from exercise. By inhibiting free radicals from forming during your exercise routine they assist you in building a slender defined you.

When you workout your body produces free radicals that can damage your muscle tissue. You can avoid that damage by consuming your optimal amount of antioxidants about one hour before your workout.

Antioxidants are known to slow down the aging process and help prevent degenerative diseases including cancer and heart disease. Since they also speed muscle recovery after exercise you wind up with more muscle (which burns calories even when you are at rest) and an overall leaner healthier you.

Some of the most potent easily accessible anitoxidants include berries (blueberries, raspberries blackberries, strawberries, cranberries), cherries, acai fruit, various teas (green tea, oolong tea, white tea, black tea, and red tea - a.k.a. rooibos tea), nuts, seeds, red and black beans, purple potatoes, grapes, red wine, cinnamon, and dark chocolate or cocoa.

Do pay attention to caffeine content as many of those teas, and of course the chocolate and cocoa, actually contain caffeine. Keep their consumption to a minimum. Know that how your body uses the chocolate depends on how it is sweetened and processed. Dark chocolate made with white sugar is still not good for you.

Note that you do not need to buy antioxidant supplements. Simply enjoy eating all those luscious foods! In fact, make it a point to include at least one rich antioxidnat food in every snack and meal you eat all day long.

Keep a bowl of berries in the refrigerator making it easy to grab a handful of yummy health when you are looking for  something to munch on. The easier you make healthy foods available the faster you will create the healthy eating habits that lead to a greater enjoyment of life!

Similarly keep  bottles of  a few different antioxidant teas all brewed and handy. Instead of reaching for carbonated beverages (There is no such thing as s healthy carbonated beverage - and that includes mineral waters!) pour a glassful of refreshing tea. In fact, combining teas with fruits makes for a delicious treat. even tastier if you freeze the fruits first.

Your body needs that extra boost to fight the free radicals that invade it via exercise, air pollution, smoke, sun exposure, junk food, exposure to chemicals, etc. Free radicals damage your health by putting your body into an oxidative state which means your body is disintegrating and dying.

In every moment you are either growing ad getting healthier or deteriorating and dying. There is no such thing as homeostasis. Nothing ever stays the same. With knowledge of what and how, you get to choose your health status.
